About Me
Hi! I'm Anne! In 2007 I graduated from L'Academie de Cuisine in Pastry Arts and I have my bachelors degree from Brigham Young University in Food Industry Management. I worked professionally for several years, first as a pastry cook at various bakeries and eventually as the head pastry chef for the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
A few years (and kids) later I'm no longer in a commercial kitchen. Being a mom has kept me pretty busy but I continued baking for friends and family along the way. I've even found time to make the occasional wedding cake or two.
I created Beurre and Linen Bakery as a way for me do more of what I love while raising my family. In addition to selling cakes, wedding cakes, and custom desserts I also offer cake decorating courses and plan to sell seasonal items as this business grows. I've spent over 16 years perfecting my recipes and my methods and I pour all of that experience and expertise into every dessert I make.
